How many cats do you think is too many and officially qualifies you for "mad cat lady" status? I have 3 posh ones and 1 stable cat but really want another......

I have 2 different neighbours who have cats (in terraced houses), at last count both had 8 cats each, plus dogs, and both have since had further litters of kittens. I'm flipping fed up of picking up cat poo off my lawn!

My cats are weird! They have always pooed in their own garden and NEVER anywhere else! Our neighbours have never had cause to be upset though.
I have 3 and would like another, but hubby says NO..........!

What a lovely neighbour you are heathers, unfortunately mine aren't that considerate! I don't have a problem picking up dog poo, I chose to have a dog and accept that I need to pick up after her - but for every pile of doggy poo there's 3 or 4 piles of cat mess! Yuck, yuck, yuck!!!! And I have to clean it up or the kids will walk it into the house, and anyway it's not pleasant to sit in the garden if it's stinking of cat! I love cats, honest I do, but one or two each is plenty!

Sometimes mummys big dog (who we boss about-she's a walkover!} wees but so much it makes a puddle yeeuk. My mummy would love another cat- would have to have breeding though or I will completely ignore it. H x

Do it in shoes and mum just throws them out, whilst the dads not looking!

I think that there should be one available lap to each cat. But of course pure bred kitties shd have first choice!

I have 5 in a mobile home - 4 stay in 1 goes out. My hubby says it depends on the size of your house...ha ha wait til we build our 4 bed house and I will remind him of that. Having said that I think I became a mad cat lady at 3 cats.

Having had none at all prior to last summer we now have 3 ex feral cats who come indoors most of the time and a feral momma cat with 2 kittens in the yard, as well as occasional visits from a tabby daddy cat.
It's far too many, too much poo everywhere and I'm hoping to get the 2 kittens tamed and rehomed as soon as they are trapped and 'done'.
