I may be wrong, but think Tweetie Nimmo (Duntarvie Section B's) is one judge, not sure about the other!

Russell is an excellent judge and you can be assured that the winner will deserve it. May is a long time away to be speculating, take your chance and you could be the deserving winner! Good Luck! Thanks Peter...Time to get off that fence you mentioned the other week....For quite a while I like others have doubted the wisdom of posting comments or replies on this site. But I do now feel that if used correctly then Horse Gossip can make a positive contribution to the showing world. Firstly can i reply to a comment made previously "Russell Sutcliffe did himself no favours at Ponies U.K. when he decided which ponies to strip before their individual shows".... This was due to a misunderstanding on my part and can empathise fully with the individual who posted and can accept how this would appear...What i was actually attempting to do was strip all the ponies in the class concerned but had totally forgotten the new ruling re:- judging from the bottom end of the line up. I was subsequently overuled by the chief steward concerned. Quite rightly so given the logistics and time scale of the class involved. I always attempt to treat each competitor fairly given that you have all payed the same fee and feel you all deserve the same attention. My personal preference is to strip all or none of the ponies depending on the rules involved. For the above I wholeheartably apologise to all concerned. I do however feel that given the class size almost 40 ponies in a torrential downpour that was completed in 1 hour to remain on schedule and minimise the subsequent knock on effect to timetable WAS judged to the best of my ability and the outcome would have remained largely unchanged. Many thanks to the stewards concerned. May I also point out that like most judges if approached in the correct manner on the day I am accountable and would readily have tendered this explanation and apology.....Wars have often started due to a breakdown in dialogue...And no perhaps unlike others I am not vindictive and would like everyone to feel this course is readilly available to them totally... and without fear of recrimination. As to the other posts on this thread that the mods have seen fit to delete please dont bother on my behalf as i really dont give a stuff and if it brightens someones day ...well thats horsegossip and it is winter.... Ponies I love.... idiots i tolerate.... Glad most of you seemed to like the Welsh Sec D MARE ! Drumacre Lloer Solo That i had the pleasure of qualifiying at Midland Counties ....Well think what you want but probably identified the same qualities the two judges at Olympia recognised and saw fit to award her 5th place accordingly A true to type graceful feminine mare who moves forward freely and forcefully with ease, not restricted in any way with minimal effort.......and no i do not like very correct (boring) forced outlined, overproduced and overschooled ponies with a sour outlook and disposition. But will always be on the lookout for something to better previous champions but not at the expense of previous champions just for the sake of it if their performance on the day warrants ...... Olympia gotta be....INNIT to WINNIT.... Could be just the catchy new slogan the N.P.S. needs to get this competition back on track and restore the glory and prestige of THE greatest Mountain and Moorland final on earth. Apologies for the punctuation that I am rubbish at. Russell Sutcliffe Darrenvale. Darwen. Lancs.

Thanks for your comments Russell. IMO your explanation of the situation is exactly why Horse Gossip is such a good site. It gives competitors a chance to sound off when they feel necessary, but also gives judges a right of reply if they choose to take it. The fact we are independent of any showing society, and people can stay anonymous means there is more freedom to "tell it how it is", lol! I hope more judges will join you and Peter and take the opportunity to let us know that showing isn't full of corrupt judges who are not willing to be open and transparent about their judging. Great to see you both on board.
