We have sideways rain and wind in Hampshire - its VILE.
All the horses are shut in their stables and the rain is stare-rodding currently - so cant even ride them out!!!!
Hate it!

VILE here too, glad we are not showing today! Ponies out though, rugged, eating and happy, no riding but going to look at something rather special equine wise!! best way to see them in all this weather, see how he behaves!

Birmingham - Gale force wind and heavy heavy rain!
Ponies kept in (much to their disgust!) to conserve grazing.

Now that is keen! Or Madness! LOL
Am sitting on the computer fiddling about, sending emails and stuff, whilst looking out the window, waiting for it to calm down! Really MUST ride out, as dont like keeping my lot in without excercise, but my paddocks are too small to turn them out in wet weather!
Would love to have a huge field to turn them out in, come rain or shine, with a nice big field shelter, so they could hide........... Never mind, cant complain too much, as have horses at home, which other people would love to have. Guess MOST of us have to compromise in one way or another?

It was my sunday to feed at the yard, set off thinking my 4 in the field will be sheltering from the rain, windy and lashing it down...NOPE...all 4 are merrily eating in the middle of the field....Thankgod, I hate to see them miserable! So we are going back upto the yard at 2pm to ride the showpony out and walk the dogs.....rain or not

It's peeing it down here, I'm stuck in the house, my kitchen and bathroom are turned upside down while OH is piping for a new radiator in the bathroom, water is switched off, I have a mountain of washing as I've just come back from holiday, I need to iron school uniforms for tomorrow which are wet in the washing machine and the drier is pulled out in front of the washer so I can't get at them. OH's car is behind mine on the drive so I can't get out, the kids are watching a spongebob marathon on cartoon network and I feel like I want to kill someone. Oh well, at least i've got HG to keep me going!

Kids have now decided they're fed up of spongebob - they are now watching Thunderpants on DVD. Am debating the pro's and con's of hibernation.

My kids have all been on the WII all morning! Havnt seen or heard from them once! Am just about to evict them - to come and ride their ponies, so I wont be claiming any "Miss Popularity" prizes for the next few hours!
Ho hum - back to school tomorrow, so peace and quiet will resume!

Dried up at lunch time, so took the lovely Lilly and boys on their ponies out for a really nice walk and trot ride round all the lanes. Fell much happier, now they'v been exercised.
More rain on its way tonight........

Yep dried up here too. Apparently the rain stopped just as he pulled into the pub car park where the drag hounds meet was. He always was lucky!!

Clattered down Saturday night / Sunday morning and my field is now partly under water. Not so bad for my Shets, but my little laminitic section A doesn't like to have wet feet - it has triggered the laminitis in the past. If only I could stable her, but she won't have it. So she had all her hay in her field shelter last night, and OH has instructions to put her hay in there again today, to encourage her to stay in. Just hope the water doesn't seep up too much through the floor... Oh for that lottery win, so I could build her the facilities she really needs... Ponies looked perfectly happy though. Two of the Shets have their own lovely thick woolly waterproof coats and are lovely and warm, the other two are fully clipped but have their full neck rugs to keep the weather off them. Hoping the wind keeps up for a few days to help dry the field off! Still it saves me topping up their water buckets - they much prefer to drink the water lying on the field
