Am stuck in the house, waiting for a new sofa to be delivered. I NEED to go out, but I can't because the sofa people can't even give me a rough time when they might deliver!
It really can't be that difficult surely, to say give a 2 hour time slot or something? At least then I could get all my errands done and still be in when they arrive!

Totally know how you feel, had a new washing machine delivered a couple of weeks ago on a saturday !!!! Any time between 8am and 6pm they said, it turned up just before 3pm, what a waste of a day !!!!
At least your house will be spotless in time for its arrival , what else can you do apart from clean whilst you are waiting

Tis funny that delivery people seem to think that they are the only ones that have anything to do during the working day, that they are the only one's with a schedule and that you have all the time in the World to sit around waiting for them to make an appearance  |

LOL yes have been cleaning, OH will think he's walked into the wrong house! You can actually see 90% of my dining table, as have sorted through the accumulated crap/newspapers/toys/gadgetry/pens/catalogues etc that seem to multiply while my back is turned! Am going to bribe the kids that if they keep the house tidy I might be persuaded to put up the xmas tree at the weekend.
Edited to add - have even sprayed the room with 'Christmas Chocolate Truffle' room spray - smells yummy!

Spray was from Dunelm, but I got it last year and can't find it on their website now.

I know. I have to return a rug to Argos, a coat to Peacocks and collect 2 re-stuffed sofa cushions from the upholsterers. Not going to happen, I feel. Oh and the school run is in half an hour.

So a wasted day!! Typical At least it came. We have bought things and paid for next day delivery 3 times this year and they can't be bothered to come to us as we are a long way out!! Enjoy your sofa x |

Aw thanks OB. Will be running round like a headless chicken tomorrow now trying to catch up! Argos, peacock's, Sofa cushions, fat club and food shopping. Oh and I have to be at work by 12 o clock!
