RIP matador- a friend of mine bred with him and produced a rihs and hoys finalist, Defintly a legend in the horse world :-)

Truly one of the best ponies bred. An outstanding stallion and yes he left beautiful moving offspring... I am so proud to own one of his top class daughter who will eventually carry his line in her babies. RIP Matty xxx

OMG, this is such such sad news, i have only just read this news and have had to ring my boss to let her know as she has a 3yo colt by him, he is his dads double!

So Sorry to hear Matador is no longer with us, so sorry for Pat and John, whom I am sure will have done their upmost to save him, as they did with a lovely small hunter mare I lost 9 yrs ago whilst at their stud. They treated her as their own. It must be heartbreaking. One of our best sires of riding ponies. A pleasure to have known. Bless you Matador.

I can only second what everyone has said, A fabulous fabulous pony, who has made such a difference to the world in so many spheres.
He is to be succeeded by a BEAUTIFUL son, Balfour Valentino also 14.2 with the most superb temperament and movement to die for, so hopefully Mattie will live on through him too.

Mat was a great and will live on for many years in his of spring.
We have his full brother Mastermind and he is the most wonderful boy and i am praying he lives to a grand old age i will be heartbroken when he goes xx
