The HOYS coloured classes are not before 1pm starting with the hoys ridden non native large which is class 99 i have just got the timetable up and it says hoys coloureds in ring 8 at 8.30am but as you say class 99 is 1pm Yes it does say that on the timetable but it says class 115-116 which is not the coloured class so presume that this is a mis print better try and phone them and find out

Hi all,
Whilst Bold has a large outdoor surface we have to use the space wisely to be able to accomodate 4 showing rings, 2 In Hand rings, 2 workers jumping rings, 2 workers conformation rings, 2 warm up rings for workers plus general working in. From a practical point of view we have come up with the most efficient ring layout given what we have.
I have personally visited Bold Heath today and the rings whilst a little hard are no worse than what we jumped the first hoys qual on at Solihull 2 weeks ago. In addition the rings are benefiting from grass that is slightly longer. Once ponies start to go around this will flatten down and create a small element of cushioning.
At the end of the day we all have choices as to whether we decide to compete or not.
Regards
Vickey

yes we all have choices but it is quite a lot of money to loose especially in the present financial climate. i think nps have done a great job in finding a new venue at short notice, but the inhand could have been on grass surely? that would have kept the w.h. happy.

Please see my post above - In terms of the inhand they are only small rings and therefore not a like for like swap for a jumping ring plus conformation.
If the show had gone ahead at Warren Farm it would have been on grass.
I wish people would be realistic as to what is practical and achievable ........

just to reconfirm all rings start at 8.30am.
I will be going over to Bold around tea time to set up and will give an update on the grass rings later tonight- it was raining most of yesterday so I expect that it will be in good shape.
Thanks
Vickey
