Sometimes I really dislike my cats!
This morning Trouble has decided that bird hunting is great fun. She's been seen with one baby swallow in her mouth from the tack room nest, has been chased down from the top of the stable partition walls with a shavings fork and is now clearly visible on the CCTV sitting above the doors trying to get to more nests or catch passing mummy and daddy birds.
I've managed to save some which had fallen from the nest overnight in the stables and put them back into their ( or at least a) nest before she could get them.

The monster sneaked back into the tack room and totally destroyed the nest there. No sign of the little babies so I take it she has eaten them all.

Our cat 'b@****d George' as he is commonly known got the last of the young moorhens last night. There is now talk of him being rehomed. We find plenty of evidence of stuff he is'nt supposed to catch but does, and very little evidence of what he is there to catch! Its just their way though, and I thought a neighbour we had a few years ago was a complete nut for having her cats teeth removed to stop it catching anything. Luckily this year, he has had non of the swallow chicks.

My cats seem to think they are ornamental only! I occasionally have an, obviously long time dead, mouse or bird, but one of them excelled themselves last week, I walked in to the kitchen in the morning to find four rashers of best back bacon arranged on the floor. I dread to think where they had pinched that from, and have been avoiding getting into conversation with the nearest neighbours ever since!!

Fabulous!!!!!!!! ;D To be honest thats what cats do!!!! why people complain about them bringing birds ect in is beyond me....just recently i have been 'presented' with a number of presents on a daily basis by two of my 6 cats... and yes some of them have been fledglings and older looking mice...i dont tell them off! cos thats what they do! Im certainly not having moan at anybody in particular and im sure it isnt nice but thats what cats do?!?!?!!!!! and as for having a cats teeth removed!!! i'd personally remove the owners teeth if that was the case

Caught Mika with an adult swallw in his teeth, threw a rake at him and it just flew off, but two days later blood and tiny swallow carcuss in stable, and one VERY smug cat! ha ha ha ha
