Sounds as if someone has been tipped off their ride. That's the most awful unkind trick in the book and so very unprofessional.

I know what you are saying, but would you turn down that chance?
As I said it's complicated! Please don't make this any worse! I was just feeling low and proabably shouldn't have made any comments.

Surely there can be a case of swallowing ones pride and setting this sorted out, life is too short surely. I know we dont know the facts but feel you really should be riding this pony , you were a great pair. Any chance of offering the olive branch ?

Unfortunately no! But thank you for your very kind words.
Have been putting my time to useful things instead and have started studying Equine Massage!

Well I think its appauling Guest1 and I do know who you are. Nearly as bad as the owner who wouldn't let her Dales go last year even though she had qualified in her own right.
Disgusting behaviour by owners.
I hope you find another gem again Guest1. Another year guest1!
(sorry pressed enter before i finished!)

So sorry to hear about your Olympia ride Guest1. I don't know who you are, but thought I would let you know that it happened to me about ten years ago, and I still haven't got over it. I know thats not what you want to hear, but I just wanted to sympathise with you because I have been there and its not a nice place to be. I sobbed my heart out on the day as I stupidly went and watched the pony I had worked on for over a year (for free as well) be placed 4th and it was heartbreaking. He was a really difficult pony as well and I felt gutted that someone else was riding him and taking all the glory for my hard work. He qualified at his first ever qualifier as a five year old, and the owner never let me ride him again. I do hope that you get over your disappointment soon, and hope you get an even better pony to ride in 2007. Good luck.

To SAVE Olympia for the future as some unsavoury folk are out to muck it up for all of us who enjoy competing and plan to compete in this the MOST prestigious M&M Ridden competition in the world.
Damage may been done and we need to encourage Horsepower International to support their longest running competition and sponsor and to work with the NPS to make it even more special.
Thank you Baileys and Horsepower we do appreciate you enormously. Let's all work to promote the competition to gain an even higher profile. The best ponies have gone through this year and are a credit to Britsih breeding.
They are our Heritage and Olympia their showcase. This must remain the most difficult and prized competition to qualify for.
