Why do i get "you have been banned from this forum" when i try and open one of the discussion threads and not on some of the others. The one i started about olympia judges for example. I haven't done anything wrong just asked who was judging at some of the qualifiers..Feel i'm being told off by my teacher for something i didn't do.

Karma. Well if people like what you post and agree they may chose to give you Karma. (exalt) If they dont like what you post they may choose to take karma off you (smite).
The more Karma you have shows people like you or what you post That's in theory the less you have then some people dont like you or what you post. ;D

Hi Skint,
Junior Member means you have not made as many posts as a senior Member. I dont think it is to do with age, just how many posts you have made - so get posting.

I've registered and been sent back the bit enable me to log on and I think I have oversensitive firewall or whatever because I cannot go any further so have to come on as guest. I am "plug it in and it works" kind of person, completely un-computerised...
I'd like to try and find anyone out there who may remember the Turton line of ponies. I have one (Turton Kitty Fisher) and apparently she had a full sister (Turton Lucy Lockett) Kitty is now 26 but still going strong and I'd like to know if any of her relations are too (also Turton Little Lady and Turton Nero). I'm also desperately seeking help re a supplement for a mare (welsh sec a) who is stunning but seems to run on adrenaline which is stopping her from fulfilling her potential - she's started on Stresscalm but I have a feeling its more hormonal... like permanent PMS!

Why did the people who were guessing the moderators names banned from posting? We've heard they are researching a report on the various showing chat rooms for H&H and are investigating the people who run and moderate them.

Why did the people who were guessing the moderators names banned from posting? We've heard they are researching a report on the various showing chat rooms for H&H and are investigating the people who run and moderate them. Investigating the people that run them? In what manner? And for what reason? I banned the person posting the comments. The manner that the posts took was not of a person doing research but of an individual trying to get others to chip in and speculate. (Actually called Sh1t stirring) I did post a warning after the first post but the warning fell on deaf ears and the same person posted again under a different user name about the same subject. Having checked the ISP (which I can) I found the same person had over 30 different user names for different posts. Most of which were not very constructive. Consequently I decided to ban the ISP from the site. End of story.

Thanks for replying Admin. We have been approached by someone actively researching showing chat room sites, to find out who is involved [they knew a good few] and the impact these are having competitors, judges and societies. Plenty of questions were asked and they mentioned that report is to be completed at the end of the season.
From the stance they were taking it does seem that freedom of speech is now being limited by moderators on some sites. Having spoken at length it hit home exactly why Societies such as the NPS/BSPS/PUK should insist that those officiating in any capacity should not be allowed to run or moderate and those in office who know who they are should make their members aware.
It was mentioned that moderators [as well as guests] had admitted to posting on this site in other guises and used it to actively promote themselves. This looks to be dangerously moving on from the EEC legislative of being "Fair & Reasonable"

This looks to be dangerously moving on from the EEC legislative of being "Fair & Reasonable" Firstly anyone doing research with ref to mods on this site would be better off sending the mods a pm. Also these people doing the research and getting others to do it for them would be wise to do it for themselves on a professional level rather that have a third party sourcing hear say information that could have legal implications if incorrect. Your comment “ It was mentioned that moderators [as well as guests] had admitted to posting on this site in other guises and used it to actively promote themselves.” Leads people to believe that mods and guest that post on this site have been interviewed which I doubt very much is the case. Just to add there is no rule about telling others how well you or your pony have done. In fact I am sure there are people out there that like to hear who has done what and which ponies have won. If this is not the case then why on earth would publications do write ups on ponies and jockeys along with posting results? Plenty of magazines out there that big up the same old faces every week I reckon. So given this according to your post. This looks to be dangerously moving on from the EEC legislative of being "Fair & Reasonable" As for the comment “ From the stance they were taking it does seem that freedom of speech is now being limited by moderators on some sites.” It is within our rights as the people in charge of the site to remove any posts without an explanation. Please check out the terms of registration. As always the posts that are removed are either removed by us at request of a guest or member, or are removed as they are just posted to cause trouble. Finally “ the EEC legislative of being "Fair & Reasonable" relates to consumer law and business contracts and not forums. You can check this out with your legal advisors. If you would like to discuss the matter further feel free to register as a member then you can see my email in my profile. From there you can then email me.

Interesting points Admin. Surely then from your wise words the "fair and reasonable" status in any cases of self promotion will depend on whether those involved are professional producers with contracts to produce for their owners ? Whatever, if an article does appear it will no doubt make a good read and add another thread to the odd forum or four Maybe we'll even hear of some new faces!
