what is it with people is a understatement a person I thought was a dear friend said the most hurtful of things to me to-day, I thought I was thick skinned but this hurt,

I said I hope the rain stops Have to ride and I am sick of getting wet, she reply-ed, well don't you think your too old for all this competing you will go and try and win then silly rosettes and flimsy trophy's don't you think it is about time you left it too others and give them a chance.
for once I was stuck for words and just said good-bye see you soon. believe me it hurt.

thats pure green eyed monster JJ you go and compete at what ever you want to, some people particularly those who seem close to you can be so cruel........... i found something out about a certain so called freinds years after we were no longer freinds, it transpires that i know someone who used to work with her and her partner, and she may have had something to do with insitgating the death of our first pony via laminitis, as she had a very unusual case that should have recovered well had all the treatment and was acting like she had been fed, i was pregnant at this point, and she used to help me out supposidly, but was insanley jelous of my daughter and pony doing well ( she a grown woman) and prooven to have fed another girls horse oats a few years after in a attempt to send stabled horse mad, what can you do after the event.... hence that is the reason i trust noone, have few close freinds as i let noone near enough and let people get on with it ....

Ive learnt not to rise to them as its what they expect and what they want, i rise above it and stay happy that pees them off moreso, took me 14 years to learn to contain myself, i used to flip out completley and be ill for days but they just arnt worth it.

but I do love my riding and competeing, and get so much fun out of it, especially the shows where we all meet and have a chat and catch up, and encourage one another on.

Whilst ever you and your horse get enjoyment out of what you do, then keep doing it and don't let petty small minded individuals spoil it for you. If you are not enjoying it any more then maybe it's time for a change, but for yourself not because of what anyone else thinks.

I think your right emma, hubby just said if you pack up they have won, as long as 1st and foremost you are enjoying it carry on, your not harming anyone, just giveing yourself one few favours in life, pleasure, laughter, and fun, which there is not much of it about. life is too short to worry about jealous simple minded folk.

I always think the worlds a big enough place to find the neche where there is no bullys, I simply do not mix or have any friends that are bullys or nasty, and avoid them like hot coal. I simply cannot cope to be around people like that. I have a group of friends that we bit*h happily about each other, but are always there for each other when one of us needs us to be. Yes we sometimes disagree but value our friendship far more and disagreement blow over. We all too can say SORRY when we need too....

Green eyed monsters are not happy people, and bit*hyness usually comes from either nerves or insecurity in themselves. I will say though get a traditional cob or a shettie, you meet the most fun people through them.....

I'm the same as you lolly try to stay out of the way of the bullies which I find most of the bit*hiness is, I don't care what people say about me but have a go at my friends or family and i let fly and I know you won't believe it but when I get going I have quiet a colorful turn of phrase I have been known to make grown men cry but obviously I do it in the nicest possible way
