My lovely cob mare lost her battle with the Evil Evil disease laminitis and colic complications tonight after a short battle of only 8 weeks.She was a mare in a million, a gentle plod for learners or an upward gear for the more advanced rider. She will be sadly missed and very hard to replace.

I wontl cry for the horses that life has set free, a million black horses forever to be. i wont cry for the horses now in gods hands, as they dance and prance to a heavenly band. You were mine as a gift, but never to keep, as you close your eyes forever to sleep, your spirit unbound forever to fly, as you join a million black horses against the blue sky

Very sad em, really feel for you.
You gave her the best possible care but as you say laminitis is evil.
