ASHLAN CROWNING GLORY
Intermediate SRT / Small hack / Hunter pony
Rory is by Excellente (TB, by Alzao out of a Majestic Light mare) out of Mayeath Royal Glory, a very smart 147cm show pony by Red Crescent (TB) out of Yealand Praise, a previous HOYS winner by Bottingelle Swan Song.
Born 5th June 2010, Rory is beautifully put together, moves extremely straight and cleanly, in a naturally balanced and uphill manner. He is elegant but not spindly, and he moves with natural collection, extension and acceleration. He has great self carriage and PLENTY of “Look at me!” sparkle.
At the moment, Rory is bright bay with a dorsal stripe over his hindquarters; he may darken a little. He has no white on his limbs at all, with all four feet black, and has about 17 white hairs to the right of the central double whorl on his forehead.
He is friendly and well-handled, is used to the farrier and being wormed, and did not bat an eyelid for his dental check-up. He is currently living out with his best friend – rugged as appropriate - and is happily stabled overnight, sharing with his friend.
He is already used to hard feed, having been weaned in early December; he has been microchipped already and has a full NPS studbook passport.
I would expect Rory to make 15hh, given his breeding (by 15.3hh, ex 14.2hh). I know we all like to think it of those that we breed, but this boy really is something very special, and could even be good enough to stay entire.
Further photos are available. Please PM for any further information, or ring me on 07808 962560 to arrange to come and visit – we are near Winchester (Hampshire).
