Wow!!!!! Fabulous!!!! Im so thrilled it has worked out for both the girlies, mummies and LP and HTPig!!!!! Perfect solution and well done for sorting it!!!!!

Progress update - at some point the very naughty Violet decided that going under the elctric gate with Velvet would be very clever. She picks up her leg when she wants something and there she was 'begging' to come in with an oh I'm so hard by expression on her very smug face.
As we lead them in leaving Toffee and Gracie behind she was priceless. There was lots of horsey nah nahnanna going on.
As soon as the girls got back into their stables. They placed their bums at each other with a 'whatever' and ate their haylage.
Toffee thinks she won round 1 because she stayed in the field, Violet thinks she won cos she schimied under. The only thing to get hurt were the mares egos.
While all this is going on the poor foals are looking on at their mums playing the power struggle games with a very embarrassed look on their faces. Girls eh.

Yes Violet is a proper Diva through and through - exceptionally well bred and talented....dont you know..... ;D Yes she does pick up her leg to demand attention and stamps it, if she is cross. Daily update 3
Today Violet realised something. While she may be the queen diva in Hampshire in Dorset she gets fed second, turned out second and has her feed second. Second best doesn't bode well with her ego but we are getting there and it makes me laugh.
Little Velvet trots on happily behind her mum with not a care in the world. I bet she can't wait for the moment her mum leaves cos it will mean she break out and move over to the other camp. The camp that is team Toffee. Sunday isnt too far away and I have a feeling Velvet cant really wait!

Sorry for slacking. I always was a slacker  Day 4 ( I think  ) Major breakthrough today...This morning Toffee called the girls as I lead them into the field after brekkie. The foals were allowed to be in the same space today so ;D ;D. Tonight went to bring them in and not all the ponios were where they should be. Took me and Meg about half an hour to sort em out during which Violet tapped her hoof impatiently as it was cold (apparently). Dont worry LP they were both wearing rugs. Thinking Miss I'm a Celebrity Get Me outta this field was going to be mighty peed off at having to wait tap....tap.....tap goes the hoof...she was brilliant. Lead her in first and Meg brought Velvet in. Over the last few nights she is now walking quietly without rushing and is quite the perfect girl. Funnily Meg chooses to lead the foal and not her mother Left girls rugged up tonight and changed little Velvets into a rug which Gracie was wearing 6 weeks ago. Luckily for Velvet I have a wide range of ickle rugs so over the winter she will be well dressed whatever the weather. I hope her mum approves as I have a feeling she will have her own idea about what her daughter should be seen in public wearing. Luckily for Velvet she suits royal blue  Off to Exeter at 7 so husband and Meg are oing the early shift. Wish Violet and Velvet good luck. |
