Nimrod was put to sleep on November 5th - he spent his latter days in absolute pony heaven at Courtway Stud - previous to that he stood at Stanley Grange Stud.I am honoured to have owned such a wonderful pony,a true gentleman in every sense of the word.I can still see him in my mind's eye in his stable at home with the cat fast asleep on his back, out with the mare's and then being tormented by his foal's at weaning time - he was their guardian angel when they were taken away from mum !! God Bless you my friend you have given me so much to be proud of and we have shared unlimited love x x

I have just bought Cornley Echelon (stable name Ben) who was sired by Wharf Nimrod, for my 8 year old granddaughter. I came across this post while I was researching his pedigree. I have to say that those are lovely, heartfelt comments about a horse who appeared to be much loved. He has passed on his character and gentlemanly manners to his son. Ben is 16 years old now, but with the look and energy of a 5 year old, and he has a wonderful, gentle yet playful nature. We love him dearly and Ayva, my granddaughter adores him. We have been so lucky to find a pony in whom we have complete trust. They ride together as a team and it is wonderful to watch. I'm sure Nimrod would be proud of his son as we are.

I nearly bought Cornley echelon years ago but the breeder put me off and said her was a rig! I hope he has been sorted out if he's been sold on for a child. We had Cornley elite, his brother. Lovely ponies, with fantastic movement. I'll try find a picture of him for u

I used to own Ben, then sold him to my cousin when he was 11! Would love to hear how he was doing and see some pictures! Xx
