There are always scams about and if it sounds dodgy it probably is!! But why would you want to buy a puppy without seeing it with it's mother and litter mates anyway?

Forgive me for saying this, but haven't you just had a dog PTS because you couldn't afford the £100 a month for the meds that would have given her quality of life? I would have thought that if you were getting another dog you would be looking to make sure it didn't have any health problems, and buying a puppy unseen off the internet isn't the best way of doing that? Just a suggestion.

Dont touch it with a barge pole!. There are so many scams going on, the main one being that you can have the dog for free if you pay for transport. You are told to pay upfront to a company who turn out to be non existant, your money is routed through the Cameroons so is impossible to trace and needless to say you never see the dog cos it never exsisted in the first place. Someone tried it with me but cos I knew about it I didn't fall for it so I kept it going for ages.

The dog was put to sleep as the vet thought she shouldn't suffer anymore he said the vet bills would only get more and more and she would get worse, as for the horse that was due to time constraints I only had 4 weeks in which to sort him I couldn't after literally just moving into my house find 1000 odd for his op and all my horses are insured especially my eventers there worth a hell of a lot of money I would be stupid not to insure them oh and I don't lack funds I wouldn't be looking to buy another dog and 3 horses if a lacked funds have none you ever just took on a big mortgage and refurbed a whole house and not needed couple months to get back on your feet!!!! Cos if someone has found there still flushed after doing that well would love to know the trick now that I'm back on my feet Im getting what I want with plenty of funds, and of course I wouldn't buy dog with out seeing it It was just the email set me off thinking if there were scams and thought would ask I didn't know she lived there until got email otherwise wouldn't have bothered contacting in first place

Oh and ps I can afford my vet bills so why don't you all just back off the vet said that my dog would just get worse even on meds it was just slowing it down now I could been cruel paid another couple months meds but for what to see her go down hill? Why you all so stuck up is it jealousy or something and as for my horse that was 2 months ago alot changes in that time

I didn't come on hear to have certain people make assumptions and stick there nose in to my life that they reallyknow nothing about it's really horrible that some people feel the need to make stuff up and be down right nasty instead just giving friendly advice if you have misinterpreted my posts that's your problem but you also don't know what else goes on in my life so to say things that are wrong and nasty just isn't fair and blackens someones name who doesn't deserve it all my animals are treated with the best care and it was just unfortunate my colt turned out to be a rig at that moment in time in my life the dog I did what the vet told me was best

Only reason I commented was that I was concerned for the welfare of any puppy you might get. Your last thread about putting the other dog down, I'm going to quote: she has a disease that makes her skin allergic to everything and sore and her nose peels all the time and she gets really weak and limps alot so she needs constant steriods and anti biotics costs about £100 a month to keep her stable on meds and i just cant afford to continue to do it for the rest of her life, i rang the dog trust thinking she might have a better chance in life if someone would take her on and they rehome her but they said they wouldnt take her and so the vet said only other option was putting her down it seems so cruel at 4yrs old and when she on the meds she a different dog altogether bounds around the fields is playful affectionate bright then the minute they end she goes straight back to very poorly You said you couldn't afford the meds for the rest of her life, and you'd tried to rehome her but couldn't, and that she was 'playful affectionate bright' whilst on the meds, doesn't sound like a dog suffering to me? I'm not trying to be vindictive, but this is a site full of animal lovers, you've got to expect people to question stuff like that, surely?

Her fur was still falling out and sores on her skin though she could been rehomed but it would only to have been to prolong her life for maybe another year ish but no one wanted that responsibility which is fair enough I guess I just hated the thought putting her down so young it was cos the vet bills were getting larger as she was getting worse too the vet advised it was best my other two dogs are very mopey still since she gone

I am a bit confused as well.
It is dreadful to make that decision and I have just done the same thing to my beautiful girl..., but it wasn't for the cost, it was for the sake of the dog and her quality of life. If it had cost me £1000 a week I would have kept her going if it meant she had a good quality of life, but she didn't, so I made that decision.
One minute you say the dog was PTS for medical reasons but you also say you tried to re home her, which I am sorry, but I find that incomprehensible.
If your serious about finding a replacement, then only buy from a recognized breeder where you can see the puppy with the mother. Or go to a recognized dog re homing centre.
Sorry again about your dog though..

the thing is with animals is when you become their owner you have to ensure at all times that you CAN afford to get a vet out, esp with horses as they can be walking accidents at times, unlike your colt who needed gelded which you could save up for what happens if one needs rushed to an equine hospital and comes out with a bill for a good few thousands, we had two very ill ponies in 2007, both ended up in Royal willy for different reasons, you just have to be prepared to pay for not only accidents but routines, as my parents are always warning me don't bite off more than you can chew as at the end of the day the animals would suffer, I would strongly reccommend not buying more dogs or ponies incase you find yourself in the same situation again with your colt and your dog, it must of been very heart breaking to have a dog pts when the meds were able to keep her happy, I know when our dog was ill he had two blood transfusions and a long stay in the vet hospital and he was only pts as there was nothing else the vets could do, the bill was thousands (luckily insured) but I would of paid thousands to keep him going if I could of, it really broke my heart that there was no medication that could of helped him recover, I have to say in all honesty I would be very wary of loaning or selling to you from what you have put in your posts, this site IS excellent for getting good advise but you are shooting yourself in the foot from what you post, read them all back and you will see why people are starting to wonder what you are about

My Boxer had GME which is very rare and ended up in Bristol vet hospital, there was no cure and she had no quality of life so she was PTS and my heart broke .The bills came to over £1000 she was uninsured so I sold my trailer ( £1500 ) to pay for it which meant an end to our showing. Unless you are prepared to sacrifice important things to pay for vets etc or you have the funds to ensure every animal you own gets the care it deserves then dont buy any more. Horseymadamz Im sure you do think people are having a go at you but you need to read back some of your posts!!! Only 2 months ago you couldnt afford to have a colt cut so you chopped it in at a dealers for an exmoor which is now also for sale because its getting bullied!!!! That isn't a good enough reason to get rid of one pony and go and buy 3 more!!!! You had your dog put down because you didnt have the funds for the vet bills now you want to buy another dog, supposing that one gets ill too?? A dog is for life remember...........................

I have a 14 month old baby and wouldn't even consider having a puppy or any new dog for that matter. Just my opinion though

Must say didn't realise you had a small baby, it might be best to wait untill your baby is a bit older it's so much work having both a baby & a puppy, I wouldn't relish having both.
