Which saddle would you recommend which i could use for workers aswell as flat. I was looking at; Ideal working hunter show cut 16 OR " - " 14 I would prefere it to be part suede or possibly full. Thanks in advance! To use on my 13.2 Sec C (see pic, he is chunckier than he looks on this pic!)

I don't like the flydes, can't get comfy in them at all and they have no stirrup leather keeper which annoys me under my leg.
I have a Farrington working hunter and I also have a farrington event saddle for XC. The event saddle is gorgeous. I just use that most of the time as it's still quite straight cut.

I wouldn't go for the Samantha, i have that but wouldn't feel at all secure jumping in it, it is very straight cut. Try Ideal saddles, they do some lovely WHP saddles, my friend has one for her C, which i have ridden in and it is seriously nice! I'll see if i can find you the link

Yes was looking at Ideal saddles, i just liked the look of the samantha!! Think i am leaning towards 'working hunter show cut 16' , 'working hunter show cut 14' and possibly 'working hunter 14'. what you think?

i've jumped 2ft in a fylde hayden with literally nothing in front of my knees, on a novice pony. i have a matthew lawrence saddle on my 138cm show pony, i'd feel happy jumping big in that. it's similar to the samantha in appearance but has a bit more knee roll. my friend has jumped 3ft 3 in a samantha and does workers in it aswell. just depends on what your comfortable with and how short in the stirrups you ride.

I have a ideal wh on my sec c, it's so comfy! Much better than the Samantha for jumping in, as it's slightly more forward cut. Hope this helps

i have the ideal working hunter 16 on papaaaa (connie) i love it. when i went to try him though, he had the ramsey one but it didnt come with him but that was very comfy on ellie (welsh c) i just have a barnsby gp saddle, and it used to be comfy before i got too big! lol. i might see about getting a new saddle for her next year if im gonna keep her but anyway, i used that for everything, and looked fine, but i would prefer to get a new one, which will probably be an ideal or fylde oohh btw, if you look on my fb pics, some of the ones of smellyyyyy ellie she has papa's saddle on... lol xx

My daughter has the ideal whp saddle on her dartmoor and jumps the open classes quite happily and also does the flat classes. It's a lovely saddle.

That's a nice one, I was going to get the show cut one for my forester but she's not being ridden atm! I'm not sure which cut mine is for my sec c as it's a second hand one because shes a baby, so I'm guessing it's just the bog standard wh cut. If you did want to go fylde I would choose either the Mick or ray, there very nice!! If my sec c does change shape etc then we will probably get one of them

Yeah I believe ideal make fyldes saddles for them hence why there's both fylde and ideal saddles on both websites, I could be totally wrong! lol
