Could be as much as 15yrs, ours is a feisty unfriendly vicious beast currently 8yrs old and the vet reckons knowing my luck it'll do a good 15yrs!

Thankyou kayjayem, he gets looked after great. OMG 15yrs thats along time. Ours is a white Lion Rabbit, he lives out in the day and now comes in at night because of the cold.

They're beautiful, I would have loved a lion rabbit but there weren't any for sale when we were looking and ours was a rescue.
Ours is a wild coloured lop eared, he was supposed to be a dwarf but he's huge so I think they got that wrong! He's beautiful, his coat is amazing as he also lives out but he's always hated humans - who can blame him really.

We had a bun that lived for around 14 years. He was just an english cross dutch and was thenicest tempered bun we ever had. A mixi infested bale of hay did for him unfortunately otherwise who knows how long he would have gone on for? We have had lots of rabbits since (including a white lion head who was georgeous!) but none have lasted more than two or three years, dying usually of chest infections even after vet intervention.

When i was 10, my mum and dad finally gave in and let me have a bunny, and a guinea pig, we kept them in the same cage (i know there different kind of animal, but my mum had a guinea pig and a bunny that lived together and they were best mates, and so did my friend) But after a week, we saw that the bunny, had an awful temper!! and was bulliyng my guinea pig! I asked my mum if i could have an extra cage to separate them! But she said no, so i had to rehome one of them i finally decided to give up my bunny, as he had a very bad temper and always scracht me!! Or try and bite me, but i still loved him, so he now lives with one of my close friends and has a fab life living alone!! hehe

Oh no our rabbit can also be a horrid bunny....once you have hold of him he'll sit quietly and be stroked but when he's loose he'll growl and bite...arrggghhh awful thing to say but I don't think I want him to live forever! Quite glad though that it's not just us with a bad tempered bun!
