missing cups are still happening, i feel so sorry for the secretaries who try so hard to get the cups back. we won the best gelding cup at the welsh silver medal show at crealy this year and havent been able to have it as its not been returned.

Woody III - CHAPS Champion at Derbyshire Festival
Isn’t it amazing what you come across when you’re least expecting it?
I must in the first instance send congratulations to both rider and owners of Woody III for winning the CHAPS Championship at Derbyshire Festival a few weeks ago. However, I do hope that N.C.P.A. did not award a trophy to this winner as retrieving it could pose a problem if our experience is anything to go by.
Ingrid Reid, owner of Woody III, has still not had the good manners to return the trophy that was awarded following her win at The Cavalcade of Champions Show in 2009. This is despite multiple requests for her to do so and in compliance with the Indemnity form she signed at the time.
Thanks to a wonderful horse publication I have just discovered on-line. I have just read about their latest success, perhaps Ms. Reid would have the courtesy of contacting us at her earliest opportunity and advise us of when she anticipates returning our property or remuneration for its replacement.
It is indeed unfortunate that we have had to resort to public notices in order to recover this trophy but we have exhausted all other channels with no response. I do hope this lady understands our predicament and makes the effort to resolve the problem without further delay.

If you have an outstanding trophy for Danibeck show can you please contact me on 07799138134 to arrange that it is returned.The Trophy show is next bank holiday Monday and i am still trying to contact people to arrange for them to be sent back ,so if you have any please give me a ring.I am at the champs so I could collect there.

Won in 2010 by Satallite Owned by Mrs C Luscombe of Devon. The 2011 winner would like to have the cup even for a few months.

HOPGARDEN MR TARQUIN TROPHY
I donated it in memory of Tarquin who died in a freak accident as a youngster, to the CHAPS Breeders Challenge.
LAst year when i was asked to do the presentation for my class, i was given a nasty trophy to present, so when i chased up where my trophy was it appeared nobody knew.
It has not been seen since at least 2009, and i have since withdrawn my sponsorship, so whoever you are that has this trophy, [glow=red,2,300]VERY SELFISH[/glow]

NCPA Shropshire trophy hunt - I am still trying to get hold of trophies that were won at the last show held in 2010 (no show held in 2011). Unfortunately a number of trophies were never returned for that show and I am listing them below in the hope that someone might know the trophy or the person that won them as they are all trophies presented to NCPA Shropshire when the branch was first formed.

NCPA Shropshire Trophies - Despite many attempts at getting trophies returned the ones listed below are still missing -
The Edward Crow Perpetual Challenge Trophy won 2009 for Champion Broodmare by
Sarah Saunders, Beckgate, Riddings Lane, Gleaston, Cumbria.
Duvaxyn Perpetual Trophy won 2009 for M & M In Hand Champion
The NCPA Salver for Ridden Anglo & Part Bred Champion. This trophy was won 2009 and despite many conversations during 2010 was still not returned by Louise Marden c/o The Furzes, Pudleston, Leominster.
T E Jones (Plant Hire) Perpetual Challenge Cup for Champion Show Pony. This trophy was won in 2009 by P Francis, 1 South Street, Melbourne, Derbys.
We would like to remind all trophy winners that they signed for these trophies and signed that they agreed to return them to NCPA Shropshire.

I am trying to locate a trophy from 2006 NCPA Lancs show.The Monarch Hill Trophy for the lead rein class.The person who won it last was Hilary Waterhouse from Arnside Carnforth.We have tried over the years to contact her without any luck.Please can anyone help so that the l reins can have there beautiful trophy back!Please contact the ncpa chairman on 01204 696585 thanks. |

Just been to a super show today Chertsey Horse Show - really well run with lovely infornative judges. My youngest daughter (8) was so happy because she won the first ridden - only her second show since coming off the lead rein (due to poor weather) When we realised she had won a trophy we excitedly went to collect it from the secretary only to be told "Sorry - it hasn't been returned from last years winner!" She was really upset. SHAME ON THE PREVIOUS WINNER!! IF ITS YOU - PLEASE RETURN IT TO THE SHOW SECRETARY AS A LITTLE GIRL ITS AWAITING ITS RETURN. Thanks!

We were lucky enough to win the above for the most points in the 13hh WHP classes at BSPS Champs. Sadly it hasnt been handed back and the office dont seem to know who had it last. Anyone got any idea please?

Can I suggest that Secretaries in future change the wording to stating the value of the trophy, stating that the winner will insure it and that a claim through the small claims court will be made if the person fails to return it. I would also suggest that they get conformation of name and address of the person signing for the trophy. I have had to insure trophies I have won in the past, if you are not prepared to do so then the trophy should not be released.
To all of you that have failed to return trophies SHAME ON YOU!!

WARRINGTON HORSE SHOW
I hold the Barlow Challenge cup which we won in 2011 and intended taking back in May 2012 but the show was cancelled. I have been phoning the secreatary's mobile since April 2012 and never had a reply. I sent an email to Stacey Massey recently and am still waiting for a response.
What more can I do ?

I won a trophy in 2009 and it had to be returned sadly so I bought myself a replacement trophy instead so I had one to keep while the other went back |

We won the Henriques Griffiths trophy by standing Inhand supreme at SWPA championship this year. Our friend who won it last year never received it but the person who won it in 2011 returned it. Show sec is not sure if it got given to the wrong person but if someone knows where it is, please can you let me know? This is the 1st championship and supreme our mare has won so would love to have it on the mantle piece.
Apparently its a massive cup so can't be too hard to find!?!?!?

Becky won the Min SP Championship at the BSPS 4a Summer Show in 2013 - but unfortunately left the wrong mobile in our contact book.
If anyone knows Becky, could you give her a nudge and ask her to get in touch.
We need it back prior to our next show on 24th July x

Trying to contact Debbie Baker from Hampshire for the return of 2 Trophies won at last years Lavant Charity Show.
Phone numbers left at the time were incorrect and a letter has met with no response.
last chance saloon for us as show is this week-end, but if anyone is in contact with Debbie

Failing this, its off to the Trophy Shop for me to buy an expensive replacement.#

On 26th June 2014 I wrote to the following people requesting the return of NCPA Cumbria branch trophies:
Katie Whitehead (Church Stile Farm, Drigg) who received the Clearjune Pertpetual Trophy for the best Dartmoor in 2013
Joanne Thornton(sp?) (Low Row Farm, Lupton) who received the Bradshaw Challenge Trophy in 2012)
Taran Powney ( Whaggs Lane, Whickham) who received the Tuborg Lager & the D ykes Shield in 2013
None have bothered to reply so I am hoping that someone on HorseGossip will give them a nudge please
Obviously there are four very disappointed 2014 winners, and one 2013 winner, who were unable to to take their trophy home
Help please anyone?

Ive had an inexpensive trophy stolen from the E Life Champs in 2013 - From a person who tried to set up her own shows and disappeared despite numerous promise to return it, principal not the cost, lucky to have amazing trophy stewards at Derby who hunt for us !
