We seem to have a broad range of experienced breeders on here, so I was thinking it may be helpful to have a series of pinned topics on various breeding issues that would help people new to breeding (and save the same questions being asked several times).
Ideas for posts welcome, but I was thinking along the lines of:
Selecting a Stallion Preparing your Mare for Stud Pregnancy Confirmation How to Care for Mare during Pregnancy The Birth and After Care Weaning Time

Sounds good, I'm always interested in other people's experiences and knowledge. OH and I went to Ashbrook's (Cheshire) talk last Thursday re foaling, limb deviations & nutrition. I thought the nutrition would be a sales talk from Saracen but no full of information also still learnt more re foaling. The next talk is re AI and am really looking forward to it as my mare is off to stud at the beginning of April.

We have been planning on putting one of ours in foal for the first time ever for a few years now and trying to be so prepared to have the best chance at doing things right. These types of sticky threads would be so helpful and a really great idea for someone like me, hopefully a first time breeder in the near future.
