Local riding club on HG were struggling to find judges for a show, now I think these smaller shows are very important so offered my services, I was meant to be showing but said I would cancel if they needed me. Yes please was the answer.
Waiting for an email for the scheduale that they said they would send me. Nothing arrived. Thought they must be busy i'll leave it a while.
As we are coming up to a few weeks before the show thought I better contact them. So send them a PM on here saying I had not received the scheduale and was my services still required, please let me know.
Well that email was read a few days ago and i got no reply?
Now I don't mind if i'm not needed any more but a simple thanks but no thanks would be ok.
Time is precious to all but a little courtesy goes a long way, Has turned my nose up a bit because I was trying to help...not sure i'll both again!

Hmm, trying contacting by phone if you haven't already, anything could have happened. For example Internet down, emails not receiving? I know it's stressful but try not to jump to conclusions! Well done you for giving up competing to make some other competitors have a lovely day! x

I have to think if they can not be bothered even if they are busy that is a very poor way to treat anyone. I have helped at riding club level and their is nothing more annoying than to turn up to find there isn't a job allocated and you have wasted a morning when you could be something else. I would send them an e-mail saying that if you do not hear back in the next couple of days you will assume that your services are not needed. At least that way you can use your weekend to better use. I wish riding clubs would make a 'wedding 'lists of jobs that need doing. From short ones, to all day ones then people can choose what and how long they could do something. Our local riding clubs shows are divided into morning and afternoon with a good lunch break so it is possible to help and do something your self.

Well! I emailed our local riding club for a schedule for their show, I used to be on committee for 10 years, resigned 2 years ago, and have judged previously. I got the schedule back by email and the judge is me, under my maiden name with slightly wonky spelling!!!!!!!!! Would have been nice to actually have known about it, considering the show is next week and I was actually supposed to be somewhere else. Just decided to do RC as there are more nice classes for my daughter to have fun with.
I am going to be very amused to see who gets the blame for 'not' ringing

Have had similar experiences in the past when we have offered free rosettes to local events. Not even a thank you when delivered let alone a mention on the day. x
