Just a rant really my boss wrote down some instructions and I could not read them. I asked him what the instructions said and he said he had forgotten how to write as he typed everything. I was like "what?" good handwriting is a must at school. My son has excellent handwriting and so do I.
So my rant is just because you type everything does not mean you forget how to write its just laziness. Good hand writing is a very important part of school education or is it?
I also would love to see the bringing back of handwritten CVs. To show for heavens sake that people have taken time to first of all think about how to set out a nice cv and secondly that they can write. Its to easy to copy and paste nowadays and not actually have to think about what your typing as spell checker does that for you.

I agree with you, zarah I even remeber specalist handwriting classes in school too...bet they don't have those any more... Hand written CV would look fantastic but as you said yourself, handwriting is terrible so no one would actually be able to read them!

I agree.
I have to confess my husband has horrendous handwriting - blames it on being left handed. He says he types drafts out for his secretary as she would not be able to read his writing. I think his writing has got worse the more he has typed as he only now seems to write cards or when doing crosswords.

I agree too, we used to get prizes for handwriting at school! Mind you, most homework these days is the same, typed and answers found on google without actually learning much.
Its like we've also lost the art of conversation too with texting. Different topic I know, but people sat texting constantly bugs the hell out of me.

I agree - and text speak doesn't help, either.
And don't even get me STARTED on apostrophes ha ha!

I had a text message which I complety misunderstood because of the poor grammer. As I can not spell I 'm pretty laid back about text speak but when the reciever has no idea of what the text means what is the point in sending it.
