Hey all.. Just a quick question! Were planning on doing some CUDDY qualifiers this year for the first time with our yearling hack, do you have to be a member of a society to qualify for hoys? for example in the ridden riding horse classes you must be a member of the BSHA to be eligible to qualify! Thanks in advance! x

(Be it Hack Breeding/Light Horse Breeding/Part bred Arab breeding/CHAPS Breeding etc)..... or, Reserve, if the Ch has actually Qualified for the FINAL. It is likely that your Show Hack youngster will be fully Registered somewhere eg: Wetherby's /NPS/AHS PBA-SR/Sports Horse GB/CHAPS/ etc, but not compulsory.

Okay! Yes I knew we had to take champion or reserve if the champ had already qualified just wanted to check we dont have to register with any society in particular to take the qualification! would hate to qualify then realise we couldn't go!! Thanks for answering my question x

Thanks for answering my question x There would be few classes/sections which 'feed' into a 'Cuddy' qualifying round which are not registered though. Most '"hack breeding" type youngstock are (or should be) registered.

This year it has been introduced that we have to be 'In hand members' of the BSHA which is £30 to show in any in hand hack or riding horse classes....just another money making thing in my opinion but if we want to do the cuddys we have to pay it :-(
