I sadly received this awful text at 3.50am this morning from a friend of mine: "Storm my beautiful, beautiful girl, has devastatingly taken the gallop over the rainbow bridge. Love you lots and Miss you so much already". This horse meant the world to many people but despite being a young age of 7 and a fantastic team at leahurst she lost the fight to colic at 3am this morning. The yard was eerily quiet this morning and the sadness of the horses could be sensed as soon as I walked on to the yard. Big hugs to Nadine and all involved and a huge thanks to Mark who rushed storm up to Leahurst in the early hours. Lastly thanks to the vets who worked tirelessly in attempt save this beautiful girls life but nature cruelly won this one

Its tragic to loose a horse this way but please remember that there is now no pain and you did everything to try and save her . I lost a horse and no one knows the pain you will be going through until it happens to them . Time is a healer but you will never forget her thinking of you
