A lady sent me photos of a "dressage" pony with a large price tag and honestly it really wasn't very good. So many people think that, if a pony isn't good enough to make it in showing, then it must be fine for dressage. I replied thanking her and saying very nice but not for me. She then rang and asked me "why not, what was wrong". So I told her, thinking she will never sell it if she thinks she will get this price. I didn't say anything horrid, just the truth and she was furious!
Maybe I should have just not replied.

S&O that's strange that she rang you when you'd had the good manners to let her know it wasn't for you.
A very good friend of mine was selling her horse. A couple came out to try the horse, raved about it & told her they'd defo ring her that evening with a decision.....guess what, no phone call. She never heard from them again until we saw them at Arena UK & they proceeded to ignore her. There are some funny folk out there!
Treat people how you would like to be treated is my motto :0)
