Just got absolutely drenched for 2 hours in the lightweight hunter class. It was freezing cold, not much fun! All the competitors, stewards and judges should be commended for their resilience!! Mr van praagh rode all the horses really well and we felt sorry for young steward who kept being told off for not getting the stirrup lengths right. All the finalists should be proud of themselves. Looking forward to better weather for the rest of the week!!

yes ... teabags calamity jane (tia) took champ cob... so happy for her.. well heres how our efest is up to now....
Georgia and sammy stallion sec a ... not placed all day but done some lovely shows... claire (ccragg) and dougal pulled 7th in open highland class this morning after a VERY near miss slipping on the ground but unfortunately dougal busted some moves in his show and was not placed... our poppy was ridden by danielle snowden in the large breeds as class clashed with a's and she got 5th out of 16 (highest mare) all others entire.... poppy and georgia 4th junior large breeds out of 24! and me and ccraggs highland 9th out of 23 in 4,5,6 year old m and m ... very pleased to survive as ground very slippy.... It has rained here all day but still havin a great time...xx roll on tomorrow!

The in-hand rings are far too small for some of the classes - the coloureds were split but still had 20 in each class & no room to move resulting in a couple of near misses with ponies getting over excited!
Very wet yesterday & ground was slippy before it rained - hope it's better weather tomorrow.
