I am sick to death of reading comments on this forum of people putting other people down because they are not up to a certain standard in the showing world, omg we all have to start somewhere, why not try encouraging some of us lesser mortals who only show at RC level instead of constantly telling us that our turnout is wrong, that we are not good enough to go to some of the larger shows. If your all so good and experts in your fields why do you want to cheat to enter HP classes, cheat to get your tickets for HOYS, RIHS, Olympia etc or turn up pot hunting at RC shows?? A little encouragement can go a long way, we are not all born with a silver spoon in our mouths being able to afford a top notch produced horse/pony, some of us have to learn and do it ourselves and yes we learn by our mistakes  Grrrrr rant over  |

Desktop - not all of us are like that, and we've all had to learn in our turn even if some do forget that bit. If you have a good eye it is entirely possible to buy something top class for not much, especially at the moment. And there are plenty of genuinely family produced combinations up there challenging the professionals. Just refuse to be put down, and if you want to show at bigger shows watch, learn and do it, it's open to anyone! If you don't, enjoy the RC, great institutions and often more supportive and encouraging than being around the showing world, certainly ours is.

Not all showing people are the same! The key is preparation,always go and spectate first.It will tell you what you need to know about turnout,and what you have to do in the ring..Practice,knowing that you can do something well, will give you more confidence,and persistance;you have to keep on trying!

Not all HG people are the same......
Some are very opinionated and harsh, but most of us are supportive, kind and will give you whatever help / advice you need.
Its only the very opinionated members, that give HG a bad name, but there are tons and tons of lovely members that will help & guide you xxx
