I found HG when I clicked on a link on another forum. I spent a while reading through lots of threads and decided to register, so here I am.
I live in Midlothian, and currently own a 2yo New Forest filly who I bought straight off the forest from her breeders in May. Before travelling a round trip of over 1000 miles to buy this filly, I previously owned a 5yo New Forest mare. I bought her as a totally (never ever handled) unhandled 2yo and spent the most amazing 3 years with her. We did a little in hand showing when she was 3yo, where she was placed in the top 4 at 3 of the 5 shows we entered. She was a lovely pony to work with and very nice to ride when I backed her. I put her in foal as a 4yo and was hoping to get her out showing under saddle after her foal was weaned. Very sadly, in April, I lost this beautiful mare to acute grass sickness. Worse still, she had delivered her foal, a strapping palomino colt, he died about an hour later and my mare had to be PTS the following day. I was totally devastated and still miss them. R.I.P. My Beautiful Babies.
My new filly is coming on nicely and we have our first show this coming Sunday
