If you are talking ponies, thn they usually go on BSPS website Jan/Feb time, but the list doesn't tend to change too much from year to year, so this years will give you an idea. Usually the first flat qual's are @ Hartpury first weekend in march, although think there is a WHP before that & not sure when the first Scottish one is.

Is it a different society that run the horse qualifiers?

sharon a - NPS website Only 2011 Qs for 2012 have started - but mostly happen at the same shows each year so even if only the 2011 list up it will give you an idea.

BSPS Scotland and BSPS South Western Counties are the first ones on the first weekend of March. List doesn't tend to change much, list goes up in Jan/Feb on the BSPS website.

Same ever year usually. BSPS area 9B is the first weekend as March, as is BSPS Scotland. BSPS will publish a list, around Dec/Jan.

BSPS open qualifying do not release the judges. After the qualifiers have been published, the shows put the judges on there website/schedule.

I heard today that the number of qualifying shows is being cut next year, think we are possibly losing 5 qualifiers for each class so that might mean some shows will lose their qualifiers. Waiting to hear how it affects our show. Not good news as will probably mean more travelling if you want to qualify for the RIHS.

The main problem is the BSPS winter champs always fall in line with Easter which alters every year, PUK winter champs are the first weekend in April, then BSPS champs, and the NPS spring show is the 21st, so the 14th and 15th the only weekend available that do not clash with the "big 3" shows - we have qualifiers for all the 3 organisations so won't clash with those. People will just have to decide which classes they want to qualify for, which shows have the judges that they would show under and enjoy the fact you have so many choices!

Still not sure what is happening with these RIHS Heritage flat qualifiers - but know that the two shows nearest to us have both lost their flat qualifiers which is hugely frustrating!!! I think the numbers qualifying will remain the same but the groups are being changed (possibly in line with Olympia) which is good on the one hand but not sure where all the qualifiers will be - hope there are some in the South!

Oh so worse for us as C's now go in the D's! Confusing as I am assuming the Olympia qualifiers stay as they are? So only one extra class so not sure why the number of qualifiers is reducing so much?

Oh dear! A's in with the B's again! The reason the shows are clashing, is because the RIHS is the week earlier, so the entry closing date will be early. This means RI qualifying shows in June won't be allowed I think now (eg not sure if Rutland or Staffs is now?) as the entries will be earlier. This means BSPS area shows in June with RIHS quals, will move their shows back a few weeks. Think lots of shows will be clashing - not just a few, but ones with the RIHS quals will. As snowman said, in April you have PUK winters, then BSPS Winters, then 2 weeks after NPS Spring. So it is going to be hard to fit all the RIHS qualifying shows in there without them clashing with those major shows... so it's going to be the choice of those, local county shows or the RIHS quals?
