Just looked at schedule and feel that £15 for entries unlesss you pre enter is bit excessive considering it is really just a riding club show. Personally also feel this show would be alot more successful if you didn't have to qualify for every section, once you'd qualified once for say in hand you can do ridden, etc as royal london do it. They would then attract alot more entries and could lower their prices.

I joined the ASS this year but am really disappointed - I live in the midlands and scarely ANY qualifiers - hardly value for money for me then. Vast majority are down south. Very unfair to only have qualifying classes when there are no qualifiers in my area.
Also no judges listed yet and after the poor judging at the winter champs I will be thinking carefully about going if we don't know who they are beforehand.

Hi interlude...where abouts do you live? We live in Bucks and have qu. for ridden and hunter section (at tring and caddington). Quite a lot of shows do actually have qualifiers, but dont seem to give the paper out! So make sure you ask Also, maye if you contact a local society like riding club, etc..and ask them to hold qualifiers, maybe they will ask ASS for qu. slips. Hope you find one soon

I think you are confused about the entry fees The fees are £7.00 a class if entered before 1st august and the prices go up intwo stages. this is to try and get people to enter earlier, to try and reduce the work load of everybody sending in the entries at the very last minute, trust me it is a lot of work to do to produce a catalogue etc. the judges are being picked at the moment, unfortunately with judges you will not please everybody. We are trying to get qualifiers all over the country, if you want a qualifier in your area just let us know the show secretarys contact number and we will try and arrange it. failing that there are open classes on the saturday morning for people to qualify in. I know this show is not as prestige as HOYS etc, but plese bear in mind we still have high expenses to put on an event like this, venue hire, insurance, rosettes, judges, the list goes on and we are only charging £7.00 a class, most local shows charge more than this now a days. Also the comitee do it for no monetry gain just purely to give pleasure to others. so why do you insist on running it down, we are always looking for new ideas and perhaps if you really feel that you could help and do a better job, why not volunteer your time and services and join the comittee.

Well organised, super rossettes and prizes......an excellent day out, and good competition....
