I thought I would go to Towerlands on Sunday and have a look at this, with a view to taking a youngster next year.
Can anyone tell me more about it, and how it all works?
Has anyone from this site been to the Final?

I did the one at Arena UK last weekend on my baby small hunter, it was his 2nd show under saddle! (oops!) The go round was the same as a regular horse class, they did the pull in and judge rode and then did the strip. Then all walked round, they pulled in the placings and 1st & 2nd qualify. You really get a variety of quality from what I saw, some of the winners were good and could possibly stand well in an open class.
After the class, you could stay in and get some feedback from the judges which I found very helpful

Thanks, who's your Small? I have a 3 year old small, which is why I wanted to go and watch.
Did you get placed? Who where your judges?
Do you know who's judging this weekend?

He's called Magilligan, we got 3rd So just missed qualifying, but we know how to improve the ride for next time, but are still not sure as to whether we will do another. He didn't do a good go round and was pulled in low so we were pleased he moved up. Our ride judge was Andrew Whitcombe, and he rode very well-quite quiet. The other ride judge was David Bartram and conf was Richard Ramsey. Not sure who will be judging this weekend, one thing was that we were the only small in the class, the others were big ones.

Really well done, sounds like you should do another one as they obviously liked him! Lots of luck for the future and thanks for your comments
