My daughter and I show welsh Bs and As - we have been judged by many people including Mrs James, anfd have good days and bad days. Mrs James loves one of our Bs - last year at one County show one won the in-hand and the other won the ridden - is it facey that we won - or that we know our in-hand B will do well under her - we would choose to be judged by her because she likes our pony. Is that wrong as well - or should we choose to be judged by people who don't like the pony to make it fair?? Mrs James wouldn't know us if we bumped into her - but she might recognize the pony! Perhaps he should wear dark glasses so she doesn't recognize him in the ring!!!

When people talk about facey judging they're referring to judging on the person showing the pony not the pony itself. In other words a facey judge will put a crock of s**t top of the line, if the person showing it is the 'right' one....same judge will put a fantastic pony last because of unknown person showing. To me it sounds like your pony is fairly judged, and if the judge likes him or her, well isn't that the point You're not in the wrong to show under a judge when you know she likes your pony. That's how showing works. People pick a judge who likes their pony/type of pony.
