Well, here in sunny Worcestershire (Ha Ha) we're having our 15 minutes of fame - Radio Five Live interviewing all and stranded sundry. I am trying to decide whether to bother turning anything out, child is off school with heavy cold, house is filthy...and down it all comes again.....the thought of not having any shows to go to is even more depressing than the thought of Tony Blair being the Middle East envoy and dont get me started on the fact that the Spice Girls are getting back together....
Gin consumption up, business stagnant, only one bottle of white wine left and no one wants to buy my house.
Ok, that's me...how are you all doing?!!!!!

Julie,
Think of us up here in yorkshire, I have been lucky only my cellar flooded and the stables were 1 foot high inside and 3 foot high outside. I just floated the bedding out of the stable doors. It has gone down though now. Some poor people not far from us in Sheffield centre have lost everything their homes, businesses etc. It just makes you gratefull to be alive !!!!!!!!!

On a serious note we were flooded about 6 years ago and I have only the deepest compassion for those who are suffering - the smell, the disruption has to be experienced to be believed. We had only just finished doing up the house and then had to go through floors being dug up, dehumidifers going all day and night long - no wonder I had eye infections! My stables too had the same problem though at the time we were on paper so when the water receeded the sodden mass was so heavy we had to tractor it out! I just cant get over the sheer amount of water that has come down over the past few days, and am even more surprised to hear on the radion that the flood barriers at Worcester weren't put in operation - can you imagine the stupidity? Loads of business affected.....oh well, off to defrost a chicken - Good luck Skint, hope you are dry soon!
