This post has been modified by AdminPeople like you make me sick - it is only because you are jealous and probably have never qualified for the Cuddy!! and no - i dont know him personally, nor do i think you should air you private opinion about somebody on a public forum. Justin deserves our congratulations on this qualification as it is a very hard championship to qualify for. rant over

I have to say that after watching the first few Kingsford classes I thought the ride judge was a fab idea. And then came the D's and then even worse the Conni's! How bad did the the conni's go!! And how hard is it to get cobs to canter!!! Rant over.

not a fan, firstly why are you hiding behing a guest name if you have something to say at least have the nerve to register so people know who you are !! and what a cheek coming on here stating you cant stand someone and naming them by name, that is just truely nasty and probably the reason you are hiding, coward springs to mind !!!

oh dear Not a fan...... green eyed monster alert!! 1 - you think that hiding behind a name is the way forward 2 - have you ever qualified for the cuddy? silly question - of course not!! 3 - do you really think people care who you like and dislike of the showing world 4 - how would you like it if someone came on here - named you as someone they cant stand (for no particular reason) 5 - you really need to get a life! Well done Justin and Parvadean Delight - i have had the pleasure of seeing this pony in the flesh at NPS with Justin showing her and they both really do deserve it.

:(I also agree kingsford ride judges was awful, especially the d s.most were struggling to get them to canter ,maybe the nerves got to the riders.

I sat and watched the Kingsford classes with interest and I must say I think the riders did a great job on the whole, the riders seemed quite happy riding all of the strange ponies and rode their first ones as well as the last. Every pony rides differently and these riders sat on these ponies for very little time but seemed to get some good rides and some that didn't look as comfortable but surely that was the point of the class and this year's additional judge. I don't think from watching from the side lines the riders looked nervous at all, well done to them all!! To ride as many as they did they did extremely well, surely a judge gets on and the pony should take them for a ride popping into canter as many of the different ponies looked to regardless of the type of pony whether plaited or native. The correct training of a pony means anyone could get on and be taken for a ride though the paces, perhaps looking from the outside those that went slightly stuffy need to learn to take the rider not the rider take the pony.

those that went slightly stuffy need to learn to take the rider not the rider take the pony. Well said welshie76 i couldn't agree more. I wonder whether this is one of the reasons people were so worried about the M&M judges riding. Ride judges are not there to school the pony. They will not have a strong contact and will not be pushing in the places the regular rider might. I once spoke to a well respected ride judge and she told me she rides every horse the same, literally sitting on them, legs on gently and a light contact. It sorts the men from the boys - i.e. those who are being forced/held into an outline and those who are balanced and correct and going forward naturally. Hacks/hunters/cobs etc that have always had ride judges are schooled to allow for ride judges, I do think PUK didn't really give enough notice for them to announce ride judges were coming into place, but thats no excuse for ponies running on when a rider asks for canter. I think its a good move, and one that will encourage correct schooling.

After speaking to several people who were in the D class I think you should watch what you are saying about how there ponies are schooled!
Several of them that would not canter for her are county winning cobs that are push button rides and Very well schooled!! And they didn't run on they just looked confused with her aids! You don't ask for canter with both legs!!!!
