Looking out of window at slate grey sky and beltin rain it is hard to believe that this time last year we were in the grip of a heatwave! Before loading to set off for the Royal show we washed our pony down to help keep him cool in transit. The kids had a huge water fight at the Royal on the Saturday night and mosty of us slept with lorry windows and doors open. By 10.30 on the Sunday morning the temperature was well into the 80's....seems things may be different this year!

I am typing this having stood in sudden downpour to put child on pony (she is at home sick!!!!!) when sun suddenly disappeared and bam! someone pulled the plug and whoosh, I was drenched to the skin....now sun is out again.....does anyone know when summer will be coming back?

We had our summer in April !!! perhaps we will have an indian summer. The local weather buff said that the rest July and August are going to be changable, there is nothing we can do so be prepared, lots of winter woolies and dry clothing and make sure NO ONE does the indian rain dance. On a positive note my sweet peas are doing well.!!!

Give the husband a good talking too or enrol him on a laundry course. Perhaps even buy him some gortex knickers they dont leak.

Chuck his undies in a wash with mucky numnahs or a hairy rug. He will soon undertank what uncomfotable pants really are! When I do this mine soon realises that he has "misdemeanored" in the recent past!

my mission in life is for each hickstead derby meeting to make my husbands pants uncomfortable. There's a very rude joke in there somewhere!
