It was exceedingly soggy and muddy when we left at 8.00 pm last night. Some stables really wet. Tow on/tow off situation. Mud up to your ankles as soon as you step out of lorry.
Going in all weather arenas fabulous though!!! Main arena will be looking a bit churned by now I would imagine!
People moaning and complaining (as if it is stable managers fault that we have had the equivalent of nearly 2 months summer rainfall in a week!!) about soggy stables. If you are overnighting I would suggest taking a couple of bags of megazorb per stable if you can get some. This stuff is brilliant - put a base layer down or just mix with your other bedding. It really does absorb the wet. Take turnout rugs and plastic/staple gun to make windows too!!! At least the show is running.....don't forget to enjoy yourselves and good luck to all!

Same with us . Decided to forfeit the stable & go really early to avoid jams & queues getting in.

I work just a few miles from the showground and it's been drizzling on & off all day, just topped up by the biggest downpour i've seen in the last few weeks so wellies all round probably, including for the horses!!
