If the sunday HOYS classes are now being moved to a different date, then would it be possible if todays (saturdays) classes that were cancelled go ahead too. e.g sp, shp, ncpa registered

Give them a break - whenever they rescheduled it it was bound to clash with something!

How on earth are we meant to compete ponies in classes at the champs which they have qualified for throught the season, how are riders and ponies meant to travel from arena uk to Somerford in a reasonable state! This is what's meant by a clash - holding it over the same few days/wkend is ludicrous. I gather from katieg14 comment, they aren't too impressed either!!

OMG it is so true you can't please all of the people all of the time. This is the ONLY available date to reschedule Derbyshire Festival at the same location, without clashing with any other qualifiers. People need to get their priories right, we can't control the weather!

Agree! Don't let it be after chaps champs!! Surely weekend of 15th and 16th is more sensible after the Bsha Nat champs!! Any time after the bsha Nat champs!! Come on think sensibly!! Give people a break!!

It is the last possible date available to run the qualifiers!!! hoys do have a closing date themselves!!!! Honestly why can't people think before they write on a puplic forum.

The thing with clashing is its bound to happen they can't work miracles and make sure it clashes with nothing because its not possible.

Does it mean that if we know that we cant make that date, we can have our entries back then .....?

There could be 10 in it or 100, if the pony/horse is good enough it will qualify, entries have to reopen to try and recoup all the money we have already lost

i'm sure they have considered all the dates and picked the most suitable! i can understand them reopening the entries as not everyone who has entered will be able to compete that weekend for which i would think they will refund, but don't quote me and by reopening they may hope to recoup some of the losses they are sure to encounter from the awful british weather at least they are trying by postponing as oppose to cancelling completely!!

I think it is slightly unfortunate that you have chosen a week where you have the Scottish Horse Show , Monmouth , Moreton in the Marsh , I'm not sure that will help you maximise your entries .
I would think that if they are reopening entries then you would be entitled to a refund as it is basically starting afresh - as I imagine there will be a new closing date etc .

it the first time we have qualified for burghley but looks like we are not going anymore unless we do qualify for hoys before hand. But it also means we r going to have too enter both shows. Also if we have already entered do we keep our entry or get our money back to enter again? I do know now they have set this date that it cant be changed again, but its a great shame they couldnt put it on this or next month. I geuss thats because somerford park cant do it any time soon.

Who'd be a show organiser I've never heard so many ungrateful moaners. No date will suit everyone and that is obviously why entries are re-opened, some won't be able to make the rescheduled date and some who were previously otherwise engaged will. Give the organisers a break and some respect for the difficult job they do(weather permitting), and get a grip folks it's a show not life and death!

I can't believe how quickly you have got this sorted and published. What a weekend you have had, I don't envy you one bit. Thank you for all your efforts, very much appreciated.

Have to agree with baileybob and if they had chosen a mid week date that didnt clash with anything some people would still be up in arms. I think they have done amazingly well to have the strength and commitment to do this again and I for one am very grateful to them. They dont need to do this and dont forget its for our benefit!!!! The organisers are having to give up another weekend of their vauable time AGAIN for our benefit!!! Br grateful for that!!!!

The only thing I ask is that we PLEASE do not have a ridiculously early new closing date of entries so we only have to enter if not qualified by then. Running horses and ponies is expensive enough without having to enter shows that you may not need to go to on a VERY busy weekend. Well done on getting a date to us all so promptly.
