Is anyone else having the same problem, our Section B is always bad he has a summer coat at the end of January and its always a bit hit and miss wether he keeps his summer coat for PUK Cahmps. This year he has excelled himself and has a thick coat coming through already - he is always rugged and it is so frustrating. Its not a problem in that I will clip him but is anyone having the same type of problem

Lots of native ponies up here seem to be changing their coats already - hardly surprising given the awful weather. I can see me having to clip a Highland pony out for the end of August at this rate

I have had to rug up my yearlings and two year olds and they are thoroughbred, so the poor natives must be very confused!! I'll never keep their sleek coats for the Hunter show at this rate! They are out 24/7, but are handled and fed hard food everyday in the field, but I am seriously thinking about bringing them back in at this rate! So much for an easy summer mucking out!

This morning I have taken of my native cobs lightweight turnout and noticed within a matter of a couple of days she is throwing a real thick coat, usually not seen till the end of august/september. At this rate she will be clipped next week. Talking about sites though I was ready for work and had a geometric green top on, cut ofF leggings, bright stripey joules wellies and a pink coat, complete with wax hat. My teen daughter said TELL ME PLEASE YOU HAVENT BEEN AROUND TO THE FIELD DRESSED LIKE THAT

My shetland who is out 24/7 is growing his winter coat as he isn't shown it doesn't matter but my yearling shp's coat has suddenly gone all dull even though she's rugged still got lightweight on outside.... ridiculous weather probably have summer in october with everything having full winter coats and no rugs on !!!
