Area 5 team just proved how Top Class Welsh ponies are not just one trick ponies and same for the fantastic riders. 5th out of an amazing 32 teams!!!! Such a great event to do something different. Lychfields Scrumpy Jack, Peasedown Mr Muddle and Pentrefelin Sorento were a credit to the breed and all behaved impeccably during their tests and presentations. I think the ponies were some what confused being asked to WALK out of the arena not gallop on lap of honour but again showed how well behaved and truly talented they really are...GO WELSHIES!!!!
Well done everyone and well done to Linzy for a fantastic idea last year
Thank you NPS for putting on a great event with some beautiful rosettes!!!
Role on next year!!

Just to say well done to all the Australians that took part in the competition on their borrowed ponies. As Minkara says, they all did exceptionally well to get their resullts with just two weeks or less to practise (as well as being on holiday).
Also, huge thanks to Fodder Solutions for being the majority sponsor - and the other sponsors too.
Well done to Angela Kember, Steph Fitt and the other organisers of this competition who have worked tirelessly to put such an event on for everyones enjoyment.
The ride-off to music was a good class to watch and I hope that the organisers can work out a way so that it could take place earlier in the day so that more peeps could watch and support it. My little girl was so enthused watching Phanty doing his music demo and the later ride-off, that she will be having a go at 'doing dressage' at home.
Our baby Connie did very well by winning his Prelim and 5th in the Novice, then 6th in the ride-off. He also had amazing results for his Australian jockey, Julia Soldatos. Apart from the results mentioned by Minkara above, she and the pony were Elementary virgins and came 4th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday in the Ele. We were so pleased for her receiving her rosettes (as they dont get rosettes in Australia) - her smile said it all.
Well done to everyone who took part - hopefully you have now defrosted yourselves!!!

Well done to everyone that went. Very funny thing happened today, I did not go to the NPS dressage at the weekend but was working in the National Trust Tea Rooms in Corfe Castle, Dorset (so a long way from Addington) and was behind the till when a group of Australians came in, they then ordered from me and they all looked a bit horsy, looked closer at their jackets to see they said Australian Riding Pony Stud Book, so I clicked and asked if they had been to the dressage - indeed they had and they had had a great time and were now visiting more of England. Very small world!
