Im now getting a bit worried, still no entries confirmation or numbers etc. Do they normally sail this close to the wind. Less than 2 weeks to go.
Just hope its not cancelled as I am so looking forward to it.

Oh my god! What will it be like when NPS starts & all those lorries turn up. I know it was bad at the end of June with the Midlands in hand champs so how will we cope!! Sounds like we need a lot of booze to survive then we might not notice the mud!!

I cant remember if it was last year or the year before, when the Arab Champs were held, my mate came back saying the rings were awful, their stables got flooded and her husband ran the horses wearing studded golfing shoes, four days later, we got there, the ground was good and firm and the rings were grassed, either it drains superbly and you can watch the grass grow, or she grossly over exagerrating. The only place I've foung the ground to be wholly unacceptable is around the permanently leaking stand pipes.

i hadnt heard anything so called office, my entries went missing enroute and didnt arrive so i have now got to 'pay on the day' prices to enter my classes!! Finglands, i DEFO need lots of booze just to soften the blow when i go to enter Means i will have to leave one of the ponies at home because i cant afford to pay stabling and double entries for all... I really enjoy the NPS show..... You must have problems with your post - didn't your Mid Counties entries get lost as well last year, and another if I recall correctly reading on some chat site. Why not send your entries recorded delivery at least you can be sure that they are then received.

Things just get worse! It was a nice day here in Wiltshire yesterday, great I thought, summer has finally arrived, considered taking some lightweight rugs home to wash and dry OUTDOORS, but no, by 5.30 it had started raining again. |Although it dried up the rain started again at around 11pm, rained all night and here it is 9am and it is absolutely throwing it down, on my way to work the fields are flooded, with seagulls swimmiming on the impromptu lakes! Suppose to be going to area 12 tomorrow, which I understand from Gracelands after a call today, will run regardless, unless we have 6 ft of snow.......that would not surprise me! But unless it stops pouring down with wet stuff not sure I want to do yet another show where every thing gets soaked thro...LOL So, have the Three Counties Showground given any indication as to whether or not the Champs can be held, surely they will have to make a decision soon...please

Heard at 5.30pm today on Radio 2 that the river at Malvern had broken it's banks. Think it might be the river when you head off the M5 at Junct.7 for 3 counties showground but not sure. Hope it's far enough away or none of us will be going.

I live near to Junc 5 M5. Torrential rain all day, still raining now. Floods everywhere. Daughter tried to get home at 3pm, usually about 20mins. two hours later stuck between her house and here, floods up to car windows, abandoned cars, fire engines, she tried to get back here but road totally impassable. Luckily she had a friend who lived on that road and gave her a bed for the night. We live at the top of a bank so are lucky not to be flooded. The river at the bottom of the road has burst its bank and all the fields are well under water. Dread to think what it will be like tomorrow if the rain doesn't stop. It will need a miracle for 3 Cs showground to dry out before NPS.
Ednalad hope you are OK.

News is that both the national pally /spotted shows has been cancelled, malvern is cut off!! all roads in and out are flooded, horse boxes turned away, M5 still shut. There is the AHS nationals ayt malvern next week and it looks like the 3 counties showground will not be letting them on as the place is under 2 foot of water. Many not chance my arnm at the NPS champs!!! not with out a wet suit!

Alot can happen in a week and a half! The ground gets hard alot quicker than you think, take it from me! So long as there isn't another few days like the ones we've just had we should be fine!
