Can anyone confirm that there is no minimum age for children to compete in these classes. I read in a schedule that "Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year." I always thought children had to be 3 yrs old but going by this I may be wrong. I have a very keen daughter who won't be 3 until July so generally will have to wait until next year to compete but going by this schedule she could do these classes.

I think so I have been told that Puk and nps and Ncpa so it's everybody apart from Bsps they have to be age three to compete in Lr classes so from July basically . Bsps they have to be three on the first of January of the year they are going to start , I also have a soon to be three year old, silly as it sounds they could Also ride at hoys this year as they follow nps rules.

BSPS Rule 2: ...."no child under the age of 3 years may compete in LR classes & no child under the age of 5 years may compete in any other classes.
PUK Rule 17a: Rider must have attained their 3rd birthday on day of show unless otherwise stated.
NPS Rule 3.2 b) All riders must be 3 years old or over on 1st January of the current year.
So for BSPS & PUK child can compete from the actual day of their 3rd birthday but with NPS from the following January.
