Does any one know the optimum time to leave freshly baled and wrapped haylage that had no additives on it before it is usable? Our haylage is 5 1/2 weeks since wrapping. How long would you leave it before use?

Good God, Charlie lives on cheap hay....he would EXPLODE if he had haylage all of the time!! He was a bit of a pig to load when he came but now leaps up and positions himself without being held....ONLY because he has haylage to travel with and his net is waiting in the partition( im under no illusions otherwise )

Mine LIVE for their haylage too! But they do get it all the time, the crafty little devils turn their noses up at hay or anything vaguely dry! Just got to find a supply for a couple of weeks until mine is ready!
