How awful, there must of been alot of people in same situation. :(Didnt go because partner had to work. He just got over the bridge enroute to work before it was shut, we would of been stuck in it had we gone....

It was horrible... at one point, we had the engine off and were standing on the M25 (WORLD'S BIGGEST CAR PARK) talking to other road users! The oor pony travelled 8hours and did not even go to the show!!!

Yes thank goodness. Because we were stopped we were able to offer him water and it wasn't too hot!! His legs were a bit like jelly but we have turned him out to have a good stretch! The poor thing is off again tomorrow!!!... the world of showing is sometimes a cruel one!!!

Heard there were 2 really bad fatal accidents on the M25. 11 yr old on fathers motorbike killed nr. Dartford tunnel.Should think this caused mega traffic jam.

Oh you poor people, I rather smugly sailed round the m25 at 6.30 feeling really pleased with myself, arrived at Detling at 7am and have heard nothing of these accidents. I hope your ponies recover from the stress of standing all that time in all those fumes. I must ask tho' - what in gods name was a small child doing on the back of a motorbike on the motorway? What a waste of life.

Sorry to all who sat on the worlds greatest #car park' but we came home from Kent at 6.30pm and the accident on the other side was still on going - it looked horrendous and at the end of the day put into percepective the fact that we had not had a good day's showing. My thoughts are with the poor people who have had their lives devasted by this. Hope everyone's horses are o.k. but we will live to see another day.

Anyone going to Kent should avoid the route from the M2 this always gets jammed up and you have to get through the showground traffic, go all the way down Detling Hill and then back up again. If travelling south down the M2 take the bluebell hill junction on the north side of the river Medway and join the M20. Good Luck
