You OK ednalad? Hope you managed to keep the flood water out. I have been marooned here for two days due to the lane being impassable. Could do with a 4x4. Weather better today water going down so should be able to make it to RW tomorrow

I know l am complaining about the rain and l shouldn't do as there are a lot more people far worse off then me...We have been lucky no sign of flooding the house thank god paddocks have held up really well also, and thats with five ponies out. Grey, drizzling, then raining proper, then starting again. Think its so long since I have seen blue sky and that yellow ball thing that I will probably go blind/faint when I do....ponies wet and miserable, cant bear to clean house and cant seem to get rid of cats fleas whatever I do!! Sunny Bloody Worcestershire!

Here I am a few miles from Hickstead, yesterday it was absolutely boiling, we were moaning that we were hot. Serve us right as this morning woke up to bleak and overcast and ground damp from overnight rain. Farmers forecast is Wednesday really nice- downhill from there with rain Thursday onwards, Ah well, time to pack the wellies.......................

Has been raining on and off all morning in our part of Shropshire ....currently it is torrential ...we are seriously considering even bothering to go to Rihs...school is flooded and its dangerous to ride on our lanes as the spray from the cars makes it slightly nerve wracking experience so ponies cant be worked. Not sure I want to put Pony, OH , the dogs , lorry and myself through the mud that will be Hickstead. Just seen the tv news reports from Gloucs and realise how lucky we have been and that there are more important things in life than what is at the end of the day a show, just the loss of all the money on entries and stabling that will hurt the OH though if we dont go.

Started raining about lunchtime here in South Kent, been consistent since then and no air movement, so it looks like its well and truly dug in for the foreseeable.

we are 20 mins from hickstead and has been raining since lunchtime, tuesday going to be dry but rain all day wednesday. The ground is still ok and we are not suffering like the poor people in the midlands. If you are coming to rihs, come prepared!! You aint gonna see any sun!

Won't be as painful though as if you go & get caught up in bad weather/have trouble getting through on dodgy roads/have an accident etc. Glad now I didn't qualify for RIHS as I'd not be bothering to go & I am a day's travel away. Weather up here not great - had flash flooding on Tuesday which saw the water stop half a paving slab away from the threshold strip to the main door on the house & has deposited most of our track up the hill at the bottom of the hill instead but nothing like down south - must be soul destroying. I guess I should be grateful I don't currently have an outdoor school to get washed away.

YORKSHIRE - dry most of the day just one shower, tomorrow going to be ok, then rest of week urg.......... good luck to all at RIHS.
