Good morning Tabbycat
We have noted your comments and will certainly be covering all your points especially about true novice ponies and super rosettes down the line.
We are looking at some innovations at our summer show that will very much benefit Amateur riders and we hope bring the classes to life but until it is finalized it is more than my job is worth to tell you !
Louisem - Would it be possible to let us know which Native breed societies you are refering to with a card system for sponsorship ?
best wishes
Wendy

Thankyou TSR - we have competed for a long time and have also been on the other end involved in show organisation so have long heard both sides and at the end of the day most people just want to treated fairly and come home with something !!! we all know how much work goes into just getting to a show these days so thankyou you have passed the first test YOU ARE PREPARED TO LISTEN very important in my book .

It's actually Arabs and Coloureds I refer to, both have card systems in place to fund classes. I realise you are not covering horse classes for 2013 but I am guessing you are planning on incorporating them into your plans at some point?

Good afternoon
Tabbycat we are very good at listening and acting for what we hope will be the general benefit.
Thanks louisem we have no plans at present to include horses as this is a ' closed shop' which is why apart from the coloureds which are overflowing the young adult ( or indeed any adult) is finding it very expensive to get started if they want to move up the ladder. I take your point about the sponsorship not really an easy way around it at the moment.

This rule was on your website a couple of months ago. Has this list of societies of which you approve been decided upon yet? Would affiliation of any classes to a 'closed shop' horse society ( which you have stated you consider to be prohibitively expensive to anyone moving up the ladder) prevent a show being one of the 30/40 Masterclass selection shows?
After listening to comments regarding the acronym, is The Showing Register going to continue using it?

Morning
Thanks for the post. If you check the web site we have changed the spec. We are not selecting from shows for the MasterClass but from training classes and clinics for the Pathway. This is a new initiative after consulting widely and replaces the wording above - the training classes will be held at shows that do not hold HOYS,RIHS or other major championships to reach out to grass roots riders.
I am away from the office until Friday so may not be able to reply promptly to any posts from now.
