As the title suggests.....
what colour trousers (one white grey, one dark grey, black points) jacket or waistcoat over a shirt? cap or hat?
pony - trimmed at all? Just plain in hand bridle?
Thanks in anticipation!

I would suggest going to a couple of shows and having a look at what everyone else is doing, I like to see a nice jacket, hat and off white trousers, I think it looks very smart, as for pony trimming, that's a matter of opinion from one judge to another, good luck.

I wear my tweed jacket and matching flat cap, but a smart shirt and tie is sufficient and usually smart enough! Its personal preference really... Trousers wise, I wear dark with the lighter ponies and lighter trousers for the darker ponies, just so handler/pony don't blend in too much, makes it much easier on the eye for the judges when looking at movement etc ... x

Beige trousers, waist coat, cap and a cob whip (some do wear jackets and many don't wear any wear at all). Minimal trimming of the jaw line wpcs have clamped down of shaving the jaw line. Whiskers off and plenty baby oil. Only use clear hoof oil. You can neaten the mane to show off the neck. If its a filly you should use a white show slip. Have a look on some of the wpcs area website as they have plenty show pics. Oh a footie boots are frequently the chosen foot wear.

Check the WPCS rules of showing - it's clipping that they don't like, trimming the beard off under the jaw is fine. I never take whiskers off as they use them. It doesn't have to be a cob whip, a normal cane is fine. White halters for fillies and geldings, but colts would need to be bitted.
