Hi All
I have been thinking for a good while now that I would really enjoy organising and running a show or maybe 2 in the year. As I have been showing for many years it is something that I have really wanted to do and always took my time to pay attention at shows what works and what doesn't, Quite a lot of shows don't hold a lot of classes that they could which I believe would draw more people to them, welsh classes clashing I know is a big problem for a lot of people I know as they like to do the inhand and ridden so this again would mean interest to more people and I have many many more ideas too for schedule, thought about Societies bringing in, good judges, trying to get qualifiers, medal rosettes and great prizes/ rosettes / sashes, sponsorships, and not holding the show when all main county shows are on as it will not be greatly supported.
These are just a few ideas that I have put down but I have so many more its like a brain storm when I get going just keep putting ideas down.
Has anyone ever organised their own show? Would love to know how you got started and if it worked out well, as I said this is something I wanted to do for a very long time so just wanted a bit of guidance if you think its a good idea or should it be left for the big societies to do so.
Thank you
