I'm another agreeing with not stopping to look. It's almost saying you're scared too. Ignore and move on. She'll get her confidence from you. Don't overthink it, if you worry about it happening again she'll sense a tension. One of mine tripped in canter in a hole, we did a proper national hunt nosedive, I landed on my head and so did she. Took me ages to stop worrying about tripping!

Yes that does make sense...
Ouch that must of hurt! I think part of it is the worry, I think I would feel better if I knew what triggered the reaction...
She's having teeth done Monday so will see if that brings any results back x

Out of interest what did the man you idolised do to deal with his rearer. I'm just guessing here , but ..... Made it go forward . Very . very quickly .

"Rear" - he was a teenager at the time (not a man, we were competing JA). I recall the animal had to be reversed into the ring. Once in and pointed at the first fence, it would jump clear after clear. Must have stood him in good stead; he became quite a well known Champion NH jockey. That was long before becoming a racing commentator . . . . or writing books.
