great thanks. I am taking a novice and want him to experience a county type atmosphere but on a smaller scale. are the classes very busy ? I know its impossible to tell with the weather as it is, but generally what is the ground like in the horse rings ? thanks

Lovely traditional ag show. Ground is usually excellent, even if wet as it drains well. Can get a queue to get in but fine if you get there early. Classes are not usually massive.

It tends to be quite tight for space, so if your youngster needs plenty of room to get away from too much buzzyness, then I would think twice, but if it is laid back and takes it all in its stride, it is a lovely low key country show. Most rings are close together with little space anywhere around.
