Does anyone know of or have any experience of Equine Rescue as I'm considering using them for breakdown and recovery for 4x4 and trailer instead of using my insurance company. Any info good or bad or of anyone else that covers rescue would be gratefully received. thanks in advance

I took out a policy with them a few months ago as they were offering a three years for the price of two. They seemed very good and always have an advert in horse and hound so hopefully very good. Fortunately I have not had the need to use them so not able to provide personal experience.

I have just gone with them this year and used the breakdown service a month ago! They managed to send someone out within 20 minutes of me ringing them, I can't recommend them enough I was with Ant Evans before and when I broke down at Lincoln last year they told me that because I was in a safe place I could wait up to 12 Hours for them to assist me! and that I cant expect them to queue in the heavy show traffic.

That's a mistake rumble, PRP don't cover the vehicle, they recover the trailer and occupants. I am just about to renew my PRP trailer, its only £45 per annum. You must have your vehicle on RAC cover to take out PRP so your vehicle with and without trailer is the responsibility of RAC.
