What are thoroughbred shavings something different from the usual shavings or specially for thoroughbreds? It's just a brand name, but does rather imply that you can't use them on a cob for example!!

Thanks for the info waspblue. I'm now truly laughing out loud, its the first time I've heard of that brand and thought it was something special for thoroughbreds as we've just bought one! LOL

Are these shavings absorbent? Looking for an alternative to our usual shavings as have to mix them with sawdust to soak up the wet (on rubber matting) & pony is having a reaction to it

They are just a brand name but are very good and absorbent. I like them as they are totally dust free and seem to last longer than other brands and not too flaky so easy to muck out. We use them on a mnm, show hack,'riding horse youngster and a chunky trad coloured ?
